The PV-1072 is the one of the simplest verifiers on the market, making it perfect for point-of-sale barcodes. Powered by four rechargeable AA batteries, it’s fully portable - great for spot checking barcodes in various spots around your plant. Use it to verify every retail point-of-sale barcode (EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A UPC-E and GS1 Databar), as well as pharmaceutical product barcodes (such as CIP 39, Italian pharmacode, HIBCC, and Code 128). Although it won’t give you the complex readings of a higher priced verifier, if you simply want to know the ISO/IEC grade - then this is just the job. And if you are working in rugged environments, they have produced a tough rubber case to protect your investment.

Until Axicon launched their 7025-S barcode verifier, consistently checking very large linear barcodes was no mean feat! Thankfully, the latest version of the technically advanced S range is a wide format model, that can accurately read and report on barcodes up 195 mm wide. Great for all types of transport and distribution goods, whether they appear on outer cases or on pallet labels (EAN-13, UPC-A, ITF-14 and GS1-128).
So what is it about the new ‘S’ range of Axicon verifiers that makes them so different from the competition? Well to start with it has a continuous scan feature, which means obtaining at least ten different readings throughout the barcode height (as required by ISO/IEC) is much faster. Just place the verifier slightly above or below the barcode, press the trigger and slide the verifier over the code. We’ve seen how in less than a second, you can have results of up to 100 scans at different points in the barcode – essential if you’re in a busy shipping environment.
